Nick began his engineering career working within a family-run HGV business, where he developed core mechanical skills and learned welding and fabrication. He later moved into manufacturing plant equipment for Caterpillar on a telehandler production line, gaining valuable OEM knowledge and factory-level engineering standards.

Following this, Nick spent 11 years working as a welder fabricator and mechanical engineer for one of the world’s largest metal recycling companies, maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery in demanding environments where reliability and fast response were critical.

Over the years, he has also worked with OEM construction manufacturers, building extensive experience across a wide variety of heavy plant equipment and site machinery.
